Wir bauen ein Haus! (“We are building a house!” in German) is a book that brings together an extensive range of knowledge required to plan and build one’s own house, from research strategies for the right location to the management of financial sides. The book is meant to be a supplement or an affordable standalone option to the preceding online course of the same content.
My job was to design the entire book from the cover to the interior as well as to create a dozen vector graphics to assist the understanding of technical descriptions. The client’s online platform has a distinct visual identity with its colour scheme and the clean, minimalist feel, and I started from there to plan out the design of the book.
