This editorial piece was a part of the class magazine project at AID with the theme ‘Unlust’, meaning a lack of desire or motivation. My essay addresses the lack of desire to acknowledge uncomfortable truths in life. The accompanying illustrations were initially made as B&W pen and ink drawings on paper and later digitally modified to be in line with the binary colour scheme of the magazine as a whole.
This piece was made in collaboration with Das Magazin, a part of the curriculum for the 6th semester at AID Berlin. We were given an old article from Das Magazin, and each of us had to illustrate the same spread following our own styles and interpretation. Since this article was about a woman trying to track down her old friend online and feeling baffled by his complete absence from the world of social media, I decided on the digitally produced isometric illustration as my stylistic choice.
