To My Future Self is a hardcover brochure primarily to inform the readers about the scholarship programme initiated by the Regional Programme Political Dialogue Asia of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in cooperation with the Asian University for Women (AUW) in Bangladesh and the university itself, along with a few selected personal stories of the scholars from the programme.
I was asked to come up with a design incorporating the look of a photo essay that can also accommodate the visual letters to the future selves that the scholars created during a workshop. Since the letters mostly had the lively look of a collage or a sketchbook page, I eventually decided on design elements that evoked the feel of an analogue art journal – tinted and textured background, torn paper, hand-drawn highlights, etc. – to integrate the scanned letters seamlessly into the brochure.
